Barb Jungr brings new show to St. James Studio

Renowned jazz performer Barb Jungr returns to the St. James Studio later this month with a new show.

Well known to London audiences, and especially at St. James, Barb Jungr makes her Jazz Divas series debut with this concert performance of material from her recently launched album “Shelter from The Storm”

Barb Jungr’s profoundly original arrangements of contemporary American songs have seen her recognised as one of the most important interpreters of the works of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen.

With an unrivalled ability as an enthralling song stylist, Jungr is known for bringing new depth and insight to songs by acclaimed contemporary writers including Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Sondheim & Bernstein and Peter Gabriel.

A well as some much loved reworking of jazz standards, the one-night only ‘Jazz Divas’ concert will also include several self penned songs.

Barb will be accompanied on piano by Jamie Safir with David Mantovani on double bass.

Barb Jungr will be performing at the St. James Studio on 25 May
